Best time for Everest Base Camp Trek

Spring and Autumn is the best time to trek in Nepal. Spring begins in mid-February and last in mid- May. Beautiful sunny daylight, clear sky and blooming of national flower rhododendrons and other wildflowers make this time a wonderful time to trek.

In Nepal, biggest colorful festival happens in Autumn. Autumn begins in mid-September and last in mid-December which the best timeframe for hiking. Beautiful decorated houses, crystal clear sky, clear view of mountains, cool weather and festive time is the best timeframe the explorers.

Summer time in Nepal is not suitable for trekking in Nepal because of heavy rains, speedy rivers, low visibility for the flight and the high risk of landslides. We don’t suggest to trek in Nepal during this period. But you can do city tour.

Winter is the high snow fall time in the Everest Region and many lodges owner will shift to downhill to avoid the cold. So obviously, this timeframe is not suitable for the Everest Base Camp Trek.
